M. J. Akbar or Mobashar Jawed is an Indian Politician; Minister of state for external affairs. Besides his involvement in Politics, he was a writer and also Editorial Director of India Today. Born on January 11, 1951, he is 66 years old and followed Hindu and converted to Islam because he fell in love with a Muslim girl.
Akbar was born to Hindu father Shri Sheikh Akbar Ali and Shrimati Imtiaz Akbar. He has a sibling sister named Gazala Akbar Sharma. He fell in love with Muslim girl Mallika Joseph and got married. The couple got blessed with two children; Mukulika Akbar and Prayaag Jawad Akbar. He has a height of an average person which is not exactly known.

M. J. Akbar is a well-known writer and journalist, who used to work as Editorial Director in India Today. He also released a weekly newspaper;”The Sunday Guardian”. He has the same post in his publication as the editor in chief. Besides, he is also editor in chief for “The Asian Age”, “The Deccan Chronicle”. Also, he is an author to many nonfictional books and biographies.
Akbar completed his schooling and completed graduation from Presidency college during 1970’s. Soon after a year, he joined as a trainee and later worked as a journalist and editor. Till 1982 he also worked as editor of “Sunday”; political weekly. The following year after the success of “Sunday”, he launched another modern news. It was none other than the first modern newspaper of India “The Telegraph”.
M. J. Akbar also had a brief stint in Indian Politics; although it was not much successful. He also served as Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi’s spokesman. In 1991, he joined Government as an advisor for Ministry of Human Resource. Even though joining politics, his interest in journalism dragged him back as a journalist.
