Mithali Raj was born in Jodhpur, Rajasthan to a modest family. Her father, Dorai Raj is an Indian Air Force officer and her mother, Leela Raj is a former cricketer. She grew up in Hyderabad with her brother Mithun Raj and attended St, Johns School.

As on July 16, 2017, Mithali led Indian team to the semi final against Australi at the 2017 Women’s Cricket World Cup currently taking place in England. The epic battle is going to take place on July 23, 2017. During the tournament, she became the highest run scorer in Women’s ODI and became first woman cricketer to score 7 consecutive fifties in ODI’s.
