Sorabh Pant is an Indian stand-up comic and writer. He is one of India’s successful entertainers, having done more than 1000 shows in more than 60 urban cities and 15 countries including Dhaka, Singapore, North America and Abu Dhabi. He’s likewise the organizer of India’s busiest comic drama organization, “The East India Comedy”.
Life & Career
Sorabh Pant was born on 14 September 1981, in Mumbai, India. His profession started first as a TV writer. In 2008, in the wake of meeting Vir Das, he started performing close by his fellow comedian. Nyra rapidly finds that she’s amidst a plot to destroy the afterlife, how puns can slaughter and how death includes remaining in a considerable measure of lines.
The book was distributed by Westland Books. He published his second novel “Under Delhi” on July 25, 2014.
Rise to Mainstream
Pant performed for the opening of Wayne Brady tour to India in July 2011. In November 2011, he opened for American comedian Rob Schneider on his worldwide tour. Pant has also shared stage Vipul Goyal.
In 2012, Pant established ‘The East India Comedy‘; one of India’s busiest comedy company, and over the next year, he hired some of India’s best comedians, including Sapan Verma, Kunal Rao, Sahil Shah, Atul Khatri, Angad Singh Ranyal and Azeem Banatwalla. The group takes it to the web on YouTube. As of January 2017, it has 554,441 subscribers.
His show “Traveling Pants” headed to Delhi in September 2014. The show present an uncommon occasion that takes on cultures and people in India and around the world. In July 2012, ‘Traveling Pants’ became the second show by an Indian comedian to be showcased at the pinned for Comedy Store, Mumbai
