Jammwal was born in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh to an Indian Navy Officer’s family. Due to his father’s profession, he travelled many places while growing up. He completed his higher secondary education from the Army Public School. Further, he earned a degree in Martial Arts, specializing in Kalaripayattu form.
The martial expert Jammwal is 5 feet 11 inches tall with a well toned body of 78 kg. Long black hair and attractive dark brown eyes make him more desirable. After earning a degree in martial arts, Jammwal performed a live stunt show in over 25 countries. In 2008, he moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in acting. After a brief stint in modelling, he got a chance to play supporting role in the Telugu film ‘Shakti’.
Jammwal made his acting debut with the 2011 movie ‘Force’ featuring with John Abraham and Genelia D’Souza. The movie was a box office success and Jammwal received much credit for his breakthrough performance. People loved his action scene and lethal stunts. Next, he starred in ‘Oosaravelli’ with Junior N.T.R., Tamannaah Bhatia and Prakash Raj, which was a commercial success.
