Amir Khan is one of the most famous actors turned producer and director from Bollywood. He was born on March 14 of the year 1965 as Aamir Hussain Khan to a Muslim family where his family was involved in the Bollywood industry.
Amir Khan has established himself as one of the most promising actor/director in the industry and through his career in Bollywood he has won hearts of millions of fans and this didn’t come easy for him as he had to struggle through different rough times.

Career and Awards.
Amir Khan was highly influenced by his family and was extremely passionate about his involvement in the Bollywood industry. He was introduced to the world of acting at an early age where he performed for the movie “Yaadon Ki Baarat” (1973) as a child actor.
He was firstly introduced with a feature film role in the experimental movie “Holi” (1984), which wasn’t much of a success. However, his next movie “Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak” (1988) was extremely successful and also helped him to get a strong foot in the industry. After this movie, he did his next movie “Raakh”(1989) which not only was successful but also helped acquire special mention at the National Film Award ceremony.
He managed to establish himself in Bollywood as a leading actor with various movies like “Dil”(1990), “Raja Hindustani”(1996), “Sarfarosh”(1999). The movie “Raja Hindustani” also got him awards like Filmfare award for the Best Actor.
After indulging himself in the Bollywood industry as an actor he started working with his own production company “Aamir Khan Productions”. The famous movie “Lagaan” was his first attempt which turned out to be one of his best movies. This movie got him National Film Award for Best Popular Film and two more Filmfare Awards (Best Actor and Best Film).
After the extremely successful movie, Amir khan went off-screen for four years. Upon his return, he starred in hit movies like “Fanaa”, “Rang De Basanti”, these movies were extremely successful and it helped to portray himself as a perfectionist in the Bollywood industry.
After his career as an actor and producer, amir khan ventured out to the world of movie direction. His directorial debut movie “Taare Zameen Par” is still considered as one of the best movies in Bollywood. The movie was a major success that helped him attain Filmfare Award for the Best Film and the Best Director. Some of his other successful movies are “Ghajini”, “3 Idiots”, “PK”, “Andaaz Apna Apna” and “Dhoom 3” with these movies he has won the hearts of millions of fans and accumulated quite a collection of awards as well.
His recent sports biopic “Dangal” has also turned out to be extremely successful as it has snatched the title of being the highest-grossing Bollywood film of all time.
Apart from his involvement in Bollywood as an actor he also has hosted his own talk show “Satyamev Jayate”. The talk show highlights on sensitive social issues showing stories of different people in order to create social awareness.

Family and Children.
Amir Khan has married twice in his life, his first wife is Reena Dutta, whom he married back in the year 1986, but their relation couldn’t last longer and they divorced in the year 2002. From his first marriage, he had two children. However with his marriage to his second wife Kiran Rao; back in the year 2005, he has a single child.
