Maanvi Gagroo is an Indian actress, best known for “The Cheetah Girls: One World,” “Aamras: The Sweet Taste of Friendship,” and “PK.” She recently worked in critically acclaimed web series “TVF Pitchers.”


Maanvi Gagroo was born on 5 September 1985 in New Delhi, India. She is the youngest daughter of Surender Gagroo and Urmil Gagroo. Naturally introduced to a Hindu family, she was educated at The Mother’s International School, New Delhi. She learned kathak dancing until the age of 12 and after that went ahead to seek after Western/Jazz dance.

Life & Career

Gagroo debuted her TV appearance on a Disney TV series, Dhoom Machao Dhoom (DMD) in 2007. She began off with a frivolous part in the TV film “The Cheetah Girls: One World.” In 2011, she did a series of commercial for Idea ads alongside Abhishek Bachchan and landed minor roles in “No One Killed Jessica” (2011) and PK in 2014.

Before long, various film and TV producers started offering an acting role. However, everyone needed her to play basically much the similar character: loud and cheerful. Not much thrilled at the prospect, Gagroo returned to Delhi to study psychology at Gargi College.

But Gagroo would come back right after, saying “I couldn’t shake off the acting bug.” She came back to Mumbai in 2010 and started working in the theater with artists like Meherzad Patel and Danesh Khambatta at Silly Point Productions.

It was during this time at the theater, Gagroo met Nidhi Bisht, a regular TVF on-screen actress, and casting director. Bisht later acquainted Gagroo to TVF’s core team and founder Arunabh Kumar, writer Biswapati Sarkar and others and that prompted to a career in online series.

She then starred in a famous web series “TVF Pitchers” in 2015. Despite the fact that it was a male overwhelmed dramatization, she still managed to draw attention with her brief yet intense performance. Through this series, she turned into a common name and since then she is looked upon as a searched out performer. Following year, Gagroo starred in yet another web series “TVF’s Tripling.” This time she won the lead role and her character ‘Chanchal’ received positive reviews from audiences and was praised by critics too.
