Saqib Saleem Qureshi is a rising star in the Bollywood film industry. He is a Bollywood actor and a model working in Hindi cinemas. He is the brother of beautiful and prominent Indian actress, Huma Qureshi.

Saqib Saleem Qureshi was born to Saleem Qureshi and Ameena Qureshi on 8th April 1988 in Delhi. Belonging to a Muslim family, Saqib has 3 siblings; Huma, Naeem, and Haseen. He studied at Hindu College in Delhi. In his early life, he was supposed to support his father’s restaurant business but he showed interests in modeling and acting and therefore shifted to Mumbai for his career.

Saqib Saleem Qureshi Career

Saqib Saleem Qureshi was passionate about cricket and started his career as a cricketer. He played cricket for Delhi as well as Jammu and Kashmir. He signed some modeling assignments and did modeling in his struggling phase but soon was seen in product commercials on the television.

He was seen in the advertisements of brands like Pepsi, Lays, Tata Docomo, Sprite, KFC, Airtel and much more.  With the rising interests in acting, he started auditioning for roles in motion pictures and eventually, he signed with Yash Raj Films as an actor.

In the year 2011, he debuted his career in a romantic comedy flick, “Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge” assuming a lead part. The film went box-office hit earning him critical acclaims. The film won him a Filmfare nomination for Best Male Debut.

After his success in the first movie, he played as ‘Sameer Khullar’ in next Y-film, “Mere Dad Ki Maruti” which helped him establish himself in B-town as a successful actor. The movie earned quite a lot of revenue at the box office. In the same year, his another successful movie by Karan Johar, “Bombay Talkies” got released that too performed well at the box-office.

Some of his other successful movies are “Hawaa Hawaai” released in 2014 which earned him positive reviews along with the heart of millions of fans. His recent movie was “Dishoom” alongside John Abraham, Varun Dhawan, and Jacqueline Fernandez.

Apart from acting, Saqib is also the member of “Mumbai Heroes” at the ‘Celebrity Cricket League’. The league consists of actors of Indian Cinema. He was also seen in a music video along with actress, Tapsee Pannu.

Saqib Saleem Qureshi is soon sharing the silver screen with his sister, Huma Qureshi in an official remake of the Hollywood flick, Oculus. He is also all set as a co-star for the movie “Gold” alongside Akshay Kumar under Farhan Akhtar’s production.
