Life & Career
Tanmay Bhat was born on 23 July 1987 in Mumbai, India into a Hindu family. He attended Sheth Chunnilal Damodardas Barfiwala High School (S.C.D).
Tanmay Bhat began his comedy journey since 2009 by performing in local shows. Soon, he received attention and was rated as the “Top 10 Comic” by the Times of India. In 2012, Bhatt and his fellow comedian Gursimran Khamba founded the “All India Bakchod” (AIB) and took it on the web on YouTube. As of 2017, the channel has 1,938,732 subscribers. AIB constitutes Tanmay Bhat, Rohan Joshi, Gursimran Khamba, and Ashish Shakya and according to Forbes, Tanmay Bhat is in the list of top earning celebrities.
One of All India Bakchod’s most hit videos features actress Alia Bhatt in a parody documentary about her life. Tanmay has additionally worked as a writer for a number of events such as “The Filmfare Awards” and the “EEMAX Awards”.

Tanmay Bhat has a longtime relationship with Rega Jha, Editor in Chief of BuzzFeed. Bhat’s girlfriend Rega was standing by him in Bhatt’s hour of crisis when most of Bollywood and the political class was baying for his blood. His girlfriend, who is based in Mumbai hit the headline when Mumbai Mirror mistakenly wrote about her as the daughter of Congress Spokesperson Sanjay Jha. Later, Mumbai Mirror Twitted, saying, ” We erroneously mentioned that @RegaJha is the daughter of Congress spokesman @JhaSanjay.We were misinformed and profusely apologize to them.”
